You should know your pharmacist, and your pharmacist should know you because they are the critical link between your doctor and you. They can review the medicine prescribed to make sure there are no drug interactions, and no duplications in therapy. By buying prescription and non-prescription medicines from a pharmacy that knows your medical history, your are getting the care you deserve.

Many insurance companies want you to get prescriptions through the mail. If you do this, the critical link between your doctor and you is lost. Often times you have a choice, and you should make the choice that is best for YOUR health-care. Saving a few dollars a month on your co-pay via the mail might not be worth it…especially if a critical drug interaction is missed!

The staff at your local pharmacy will take the time to get to know you and your family. Because of the personal interaction, they get to know your family’s medical history and learn your medical preferences. This will position your local pharmacist to give your family the best care possible.
