“What people take for granted on a daily basis, among so many other things, is their skin. I spent my life, like many others, catching some rays, surfing, hanging out in the sun and it never bothered me until now. Who knew that something as simple as a proper sunscreen or keeping yourself covered up on a sunny day could one day save your life?” - Danny Federici 1950-2008.

Losing weight is not that complicated. It just takes consistency. Once you have begun to eat healthier it is easy to slip back into your old unhealthy eating habits, but you must be persistent and vigilant to maintain your ideal weight.Adopt the attitude of treating your body like a temple and supply only the best of everything to it. No processed foods. No junk foods. You need to keep those toxins and empty calories out of your system for your body to work at its best. Balance your carbohydrates, proteins and fibre. Keep your protein intake at a minimum as most of us tend to consume too much protein each day. Avoid an excessive amount of fatty foods. All things in moderation is key. Your body needs fats and proteins to function, but excessive amounts just cause a buildup and that can make you sick or your body to gain weight as it stores the excess.
