Your body naturally produces antioxidants. But just what are antioxidants used for?

Your body uses antioxidants to rid itself of toxins.

Unfortunately, as you age or if you become sick, the production of antioxidants by your body slows down resulting in your body not being able to rid itself of toxins it absorbed. Depending on the environment your children live in or the foods they eat, the antioxidants that their bodies naturally produce may have a hard time keeping up with eliminating the toxins in their very active young bodies. To help your body, you need to provide antioxidants from an outside source. Doing so can make YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN healthier by increasing the body’s ability to fight off sickness and disease.

So where do you get antioxidants if not from your own body’s production?   Science has shown that green vegetables contain the antioxidants that your body craves. So it’s about time that science agrees with what mom’s have been saying all along - eat your spinach!  But let’s face it, if you are like most Americans your eating habits are not the best they could be because for many of us, we tend to eat on the run. Instead of coming home from work to cook a hot healthy meal, you wind up getting dinner at a drive thru window on the way home.

Your rushed lifestyle habits are counter to your own good health. You become one of the millions within the US that experience nagging health issues or health-related problems. You may be depressed or overweight. At the end of the day you may feel tired, or achy, or in general - just don’t feel right. These symptoms can all be traced back to the toxins that build up in your body and not eating the foods that help your body get rid of them.

Eating two servings of green vegetables (recommended amount by the FDA) in today’s fast-paced world is hard to do. When was the last time you ate two servings of green vegetables in one day? Now think about the last time you had two servings of green vegetables two days in a row? Other foods that include antioxidants include red beans, black plums, and wild blueberries. But one of the quality sources of antioxidants from food comes from your green vegetables.

Fortunately for all of us, there are easy ways you can get your two servings of greens each day. To learn how to get your ultimate greens, your TrueGreens, check out the full article on how to get the antioxidants your body craves.  You may be surprised how easy it really is!
