Losing weight while you sleep. Sounded too good to be true. That’s until I tried something that now makes sense.
You see, during the first 90 minutes or so when we first fall asleep our body’s metabolism is still very active. Our body continues to break down nutritional elements in preparation for the regenerative process. When we sleep our body rebuilds and regenerates itself. Our body heals muscle tissue that was broken down and torn during our workout. Cells that are damaged are removed from our system and new cells are created in their place. While this cycle goes on during the day, it accelerates during sleep.
But what happens if we don’t have the nutritional elements in our body to enable it to regenerate? Same thing that happens when the plumber comes to your house to fix a leaking pipe without any parts - nothing! The pipe doesn’t get fixed because there is nothing to fix it with…your body doesnt regenerate because there is nothing to regenerate it with!
So what can we do to ensure out body has the nutritional elements needed to regenerate? Well, we could eat something right before we go to bed. But we’ve heard all about the studies on how eating near bedtime is perfect for putting on weight. Not a good idea. Especially when we starved ourselves all day long trying to take it off!
What if we provided our bodies with the amino acids and enzymes that would enable our body to break down energy storage cells (fat cells) and use the elements from those cells to fuel the regeneration process? That would be perfect because that is exactly what the body was designed to do. Use the energy storage cells, our fat cells, to regenerate.
