The local Life Force distributors made a couple of outstanding presentations on Friday night at the Valley Forge Convention Center and in Lancaster Pennsylvania at the Lancaster Host Resort.  Nearly 70 people attended the one hour event on Friday night while over 250 people attended the all-day Saturday event.

As part of our on-going series of health and wellness events…there is an event scheduled for this evening, Friday the 25th of January, at the Scanticon/Radisson Hotel and Convention Center in King of Prussia, PA.  For those familiar with the area, the convention center is located near the King of Prussia Mall (one of the largest on the East coast) and right next to the historic Valley Forge Park (the ‘George Washington slept here’ park!).

Your life is full of stress! Any arguments? Didn’t think so. Your life is full of pressure, frustration, and stress. Worrying about job security, being overworked, driving in rush hour traffic, arguing with your spouse, even dealing with medical bills - all of these create stress in your life.

According to the US Surgeon General’s Report on Physical Activity and Health (yes it is a real report…Google it), inactive people are nearly TWICE as likely to develop heart disease as those who are more active.  Turns out that this is true even if all other factors are taken into consideration.  In general, the lack of physical activity contributes to a variety of illnesses, leading to more doctor visits, more hospitalizations with greater lengths of stay, and more use of medicines.

Yesterday, I wrote a short bit about antioxidants and their importance in eliminating toxins from your body.  You may have also heard of free-radicals and you probably heard of free-radicals when reading about antioxidants.  But just what are free-radicals?  That’s a subject that is a bit beyond the scope of this forum, so for now, the understanding that too many free-radicals in your system is bad should be enough.  You should know that your body produces or accumulates more free-radicals as you get older.  Therefore, as you get older, you must increase your intake of antioxidants which in turn will reduce the amount of free-radicals in your body and reduce the damage to your body from them.

Your body naturally produces antioxidants. But just what are antioxidants used for?

Your body uses antioxidants to rid itself of toxins.

The word “pain” comes from Latin poena - meaning a fine or a penalty.  You can think about pain as the primary way your body tells you that something is wrong and needs your attention.  I’ve read somewhere that you can think about the word pain as an acronym.

Pay Attention Inside Now == PAIN

Being healthy today is no guarantee to being healthy tomorrow. As we age, our body processes change and our risk to debilitating disease increases. It may be because of the growing trend in alternative medicine that the medical community and associated experts are beginning to agree that disease prevention is the key to maintaining optimal health. That bears repeating -

Disease prevention is the key to maintaining optimal health!

Almost everyone knows someone with diabetes. From 1980 through 2004, that’s less than one-quarter of a century, the total number of Americans with diabetes more than doubled! Estimates now show that about six percent of the American population or about 18.2 million Americans suffer from diabetes.

Losing weight while you sleep.  Sounded too good to be true.  That’s until I tried something that now makes sense.
