A Loading Serving or Loading Dose is usually consumed within your first week to four weeks of starting a nutritional supplement. This first week to four weeks is sometimes called the Loading Phase. A Loading Serving is usually 2-4 times the amount of a nutritional supplement that you would normally take on a routine or regular basis (often called the Maintenance Serving or Maintenance Phase). Note that I am NOT advocating ‘more is better’ because more is often NOT better. Controlling your consumption of anything, chocolate, coffee, bananas, and yes, your nutritional supplement is extremely important to attain the maximum benefits without adverse reactions. The Loading Phase with the corresponding Loading Dose is your way of controlling the process of saturating your body with nutrients.
You can start or restart a Loading Phase when first starting a nutritional supplement, if you begin to experience cold or flu symptoms, if you feel a bit sore, etc. The term Loading Dose or Loading Phase just gives us some terminology to use when we have increased the usual amount of nutritional supplement to counter some toxicity, virus, or health challenge. The Loading Serving can help you:
- Relieve possible nutritional deficiencies. You may be able to relieve them much quicker than if you simply took the daily dosage recommended during the Maintenance Phase. If you feel run down, always tired, no energy, or a bit sick, it may be your body telling you that you are missing some vitamin or mineral. The Loading Serving may relieve that nutritional deficiency.
- Saturate your body with nutrients and healing compounds found in the nutritional supplement. Saturating your body with nutrients may get your body to jump start the healing process and can maximize the benefits of the Maintenance Phase servings.
- Test how well your Aloe Vera and Sea Vegetable nutritional supplement will help your body clear up minor health conditions and reduce chronic symptoms.
During the Loading Phase it is very important to monitor your body’s reaction and its improvement. Some of the improvements may be subtle so taking the Health Evaluation Questionnaire on a regular basis should help you identify each of the subtle (and not so subtle) improvements. If on your Health Evaluation Questionnaire you circled any 3’s but no 4’s or 5’s, you feel your health is beginning to show signs of trouble and you should begin or restart your nutritional supplement regime with a Loading Phase.
