I received an interesting e-mail yesterday.  The information was later confirmed by a close friend of mine who is an Emergency Medical Technician for a local fire and ambulance squad.  The information was on noticing the early signs of a stroke.

It getting close to that day.  The day that everyone, or nearly everyone makes their new year’s resolution.  What’s going to be your resolution this year?  I’ve been on a quest to find some of the best resolutions.  Trying to find those that stand out. Know what I found?  Most are the same!  And that’s not necessarily a bad thing.  Here are some that I’ve heard over the past several days….

  • Find a job that allows you to spend more time with the ones you love.
  • Not live paycheck to paycheck.
  • Never wear another business suit, uniform, pair of pantyhose unless you really want to - not because you have to.
  • That when the alarm clock rings, your’re not praying its Friday.
  • You want a schedule that fits your own clock…not someone else’s.
  • You want to be fit, doing the things you want to do, and not feel embarrassed or self-conscious about doing them.
  • You want to be loved, respected, looked-up-to, relied upon.
  • You want to make a difference.

Traditional medical treatments for cancer may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and hormone therapy. Many doctors use a combination of methods in an effort to increase the effectiveness and speed at which they attack the cancer. The treatment or combination of treatments is often dependent on the type, location, and severity of the cancer. While all of these therapies have been used with varying degrees of success - NONE OF THEM address the main problem with cancer - TOO MANY PEOPLE GET CANCER!

Poor nutrition is one of the major contributors of heart disease.  The average American consumes too many calories, too much fat, too much sugar, and never enough fruits, vegetables, or water.  When poor nutrition is combined with stress, the body responds with inflammation.  Continue the habit of poor nutrition and the body responds with ‘chronic inflamation’ - inflammation that occurs on a frequent basis.  Chronic inflammation is what leads to cardiovascular (heart) disease.

There are several growing expenses and situations that can be traced to creating America’s Health Care Crisis.  These include:

  • Hospital Care - Hospital care accounts for the largest percent of health care spending accounting for one-third of the national health care costs.  Experts that track health care spending have found that it is NOT unusual for the same services to increase 25-30% in one year!
  • More People Are Getting Sick - According to a report from the American Hospital Association, the most important source of hospital costs was due to volume - more people using more hospital services means equipment wears out, shortages of rooms leading to construction, and staffing shortages leading to increasing overtime and higher salaries to keep current staff working.
  • Physician and Clinical Service Costs make up 22% of our total health care costs.  Since more people are sick and similar to the increase in construction and staffing limitation, costs for physician and clinical services are increasing rapidly every year.
  • Prescription Drugs - Americans comprise only five percent of the entire world’s population yet we consume ONE-HALF OF ALL the prescription drugs manufactured WORLD WIDE!  That is more than 3 billion prescriptions each year.  Prescription drug expenses are the fastest growing health care costs increasing by more than 15% each year since 1998.

There is a storm brewing in America.  It has the power to ruin lives directly and indirectly.  The storm will wreak more havoc than any natural disaster in history.  The name of the storm is not a common name like Katrina.  This storm’s name is called “America’s Health Care Crisis.”  The early signs are already here.  Just consider these facts:

  • Every 30 seconds, someone in the United States files bankruptcy due to a serious health problem.
  • According to a Harvard University study, 50 percent of all bankruptcy filings in the United States are the direct result of medical expenses.
  • Health care spending in the U.S. is more than $1.8 TRILLION!
  • In 2003, the U.S. spent 15.3% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on health care.
  • Premiums for employer-sponsored health insurance in the U.S. have risen five times faster than workers’ earnings since 2000.
  • Experts predict retiring elderly couples will need a conservative $200,000 to pay for basic medical services and most experts agree that the number is probably closer to $300,000.

Our lives are shaped by our conversations and our thoughts.  I’ve found this to be true after speaking with very wealthy people, many CEOs, my co-workers and employees, my teammates, friends, and relatives.  What we think and how we speak determines how we live.  I’ve found many people that sacrifice health for wealth.  They take their health for granted until they lose it.  That is one of the reasons I feel this blog is so important.    Putting YOUR life at the top of the priority list is so very important if you want to create and achieve a world-class life for yourself and your family.

There is a lot of information on the Internet about Colloidal Silver.  Some of it positive, some negative.  I’ve tried to gather a bit from both sides to provide a balanced look at what a Colloidal Silver product may do for or to your body.

We’re going to try and walk through the importance of the ionic form or the ionic state of a nutritional supplement.  The reason I say try is that this can get quite technical very quickly.  It is important that you understand the benefits to you and your body to have a nutritional supplement in ionic form.   I’ll put these in bullet form so that we can deal with the topic a bit easier (for me too!):

  • The pill-formof nutritional supplements must have water or liquid added to convert them into a soluble that the body can digest.  It’s one of the reasons the vitamin supplement guys tell you to take your pill vitamin with an 8 ounce glass of water.  You need the liquid to break down the binder and filler materials into something that your body can digest.
  • The minerals in a liquid nutritional supplement are already in their liquid colloidal state in the digestive tract and provide all the advantages of the liquid form.  One of the advantages is you don’t need to add water and your body can begin the absorption process immediately. Your favorite liquid nutritional supplement probably recommends you to shake the bottle before pouring your serving.  The reason is to mix the nutritional elements evenly throughout the solution.  Colloidal simply means suspended in the liquid.  Shaking the bottle means the nutrients are equally distributed and suspending in the liquid.
  • Metallic minerals obtained from a pill-form supplement carry a positive charge in their ionic form in solution and, in general, are just not very soluble. Scientifically, they are called hydrophobic because they are not very soluble in water.   Easy way to remember is they have a phobia against water - hydro (water) phobic!  Drinking a glass of water begins to dissolve the pill but because of the chemical processes taking place, the conversion to the right ionic form is difficult.  The result is that your body does not readily absorb the minerals from a pill-form supplement because they are not in the best form for your body to absorb them.

Today will discuss and provide some suggestions on taking your nutritional supplement during the first week to first month. This period is often called the Loading Phase and consists of taking a Loading Dose of your nutritional supplement. While we concentrate on starting an Aloe Vera and Sea Vegetable supplement it can be effectively applied to starting a liquid nutritional supplement of your choice. From this brief discussion you’ll know how to get the best and the most from every serving you take during those important first few weeks of starting your vitamin supplement.
