Most of us have the strong desire to look and feel better. Unfortunately, looking and feeling great is something that many people believe is a luxury that they cannot afford or enjoy. It’s strange that 100 years ago, a fat man in a dark suit was the picture of wealth - think about the Monopoly game!  Today, wealth is attributed to people who look fit and trim.  Truly a dramatic change in attitudes and perceptions.  

We know that looking and feeling better does not happen by chance. Those people who do look and feel great are that way because they have taken some positive action. What many of us don’t know is that the positive actions of looking and feeling better are both easy and simple. Here is a list of easy items to verify or do on your way to looking and feeling great:

  1. If you really want to look and feel great, stop and take inventory of your current situation – after all you don’t know which direction to head if you don’t know from where you are starting. Unhealthy habits (smoking or excessive drinking) should be stopped. What about the amount of rest you get each night? 
  2. The night shift is a killer! Studies have shown that people who work at night, and sleep during the day don’t live as long as people who work during the day and sleep at night. Working during the day gives us each a chance to get out in the sunshine.  Sunshine causes the brain to produce serotonin, and serotonin has a positive impact on our moods and energy levels.
