If we can agree that a vitamin supplement is important and each of us should be taking a supplement, then what kind of supplement should we take?
Our planet Earth has been suffering from a problem for a long time. The soil in which we grow our vegetables has become depleted of its nutrients. The plants, fruits, and vegetables grown on land simply don’t have the nutritional punch they had just 50 years ago. We have over-farmed, picked crops too early in the season so we can get them to market when ‘just ripe,’ and have either under or over fertilized with just the basic nutrients to get the crops to grow big and fast but not necissarily nutritious. Even the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has increased the recommended servings per day for all types of food. I believe this is directly related to the depletion of nutrients in our soil!
Because of the depletion of vitamins in the soils we need to enhance or supplement the foods we eat. Many of us try to do it on our own. We head down to the local vitamin shoppe and ask some part-time employee what we should buy. It’s amazing that many of us will seek a second or third opinion for a surgery, but we are willing to take advice from a store clerk for something we are going to put into our bodies each and every day. At best we wind up restoring part of the nutrition that is missing and at worst we wind up overloading. It is important to achieve balance. Body balance - that’s the balance between our taking a nutritional supplement and the foods we consume in our daily meals - results in a healthy and vibrant body.
Maybe a solution is instead of a diet consisting of land-grown plants we add, just as many people in the Orient have done - sea plants. Sea plants are high in vitamins and nutrients, and have been used all over the world. Combining sea vegetables with land grown plants that are still nutrient rich such as aloe vera creates a vitamin for energy. Think about the impact on your body if someone were to combine the benefit of aloe vera with the vitamin benefit of sea vegetables. Many Japanese have diets consisting of nearly 25% sea vegetables and as a result have the most people living past their 100th birthday.
Here is a great article on the combination of Aloe Vera and Sea Vegetables as a Vitamin Supplement: http://www.pillfreesupplements.com/Aloe_Sea_Vegetables_as_Vitamin_Supplement.php.

Many people out there are not aware that the right amount of vitamins and minerals are important for the health of their bodies. These can be found in the food that we eat every day. Although most people get the required amounts in their daily diets, there are times when a whole food mineral supplement might become necessary. That?s why, nowadays more and more people are buying off the shelf of whole food mineral supplements.

I agree that many people are not aware that daily intake of the proper vitamins and minerals are important to maintain heatlh and vitality. But even for those that do know it is important, they can be eating a lot of ‘healthy’ food and still not get the daily nutrition they need! Our foods today come from land that has been over-farmed. A vitamin supplement is an easy way to ensure each of us has the vitamins and minerals in our system so that our bodies can heal and regenerate.
I like your point about a whole food supplement. By taking a whole food supplement (one that is prepared using ‘cold processing so that the vitamins, minerals, amino acides, etc. are still intact) a person can make sure they get the essentials without fear of overdosing on one vitamin or another. A whole food supplement is like eating a banana or orange - the daily recommended amount of potassium or vitamin c is not printed on the fruit but we all know that each is a great source of those vitamins/minerials plus all the trace elements that mother nature intended. A whole food supplement provides the same, naturally occuring vitamins and minerials, that mother nature intended, its just been packaged in a convenient form for us to take every day!
